Platinum High School is a 1960 American crime drama romance film directed by Charles Haas and starring Mickey Rooney, Terry Moore and Dan Duryea. It was based on the 1960 novel of the same name by Irving Shulman . Plot. Sailing to a coastal California island, Steven Conway sets out to find out what caused the mysterious death of his son.
Platinum High School marked the feature film debut of singer-songwriter Conway Twitty. Although some sources suggest that Platinum High School was a remake of the 1955 M-G-M film Bad Day at Black Rock, also based on a story by Howard Breslin, the films are only marginally similar.
