Synopsis. Labour Day, 1946, a party outside a mansion on a night enshrouded island, teenager Ida Parsons leans towards a cage where her guard dogs stare, their heads cocked and doe-eyed at her before she is is confronted by Tom Rice clearly the worse for drink - whose advances she spurns; escaping off into the nearby woods.

Humongous is a little talked about slasher flick from the golden age of slashers. It does a few things that that make it different from the other slasher films of the time. For starters, that montage at the title screen is brilliant, its a photo collage set to a soft jazz beat that shows the passage of time and a change of mood for the worse.

Whatever interest this deathly dull flick may have mustered is completely obscured by some of the murkiest cinematography on record; the fact that nearly every scene is shrouded in complete darkness may prove a blessing in disguise.
