Complicating things is Kimi's boyfriend Ichiyama (Ryuzo Demura), an enormous, jealous baseball player. Her father Mr. Sikita (Sessue Hayakawa) is more understanding. But the desirable Sgt. Pearson is disappointed that Gilbert should fall for a Japanese girl: she's already lost one boyfriend to a local woman.
