Jerry Van Trevor (John Miljan) awakens in clothes that aren’t his, in a house that doesn’t belong to him that features a butler he doesn’t know – and he has a wife he has no recollection of marrying. It’s a great set-up, and there are so many more twists and turns to come that the film possibly, probably shouldn’t work – but does.
