Dr. Mabuse is a fictional character created by Norbert Jacques in his 1921 novel Dr. Mabuse, der Spieler ('Dr. Mabuse, the Gambler'), and his 1932 follow-up novel Das Testament des Dr. Mabuse (1932).
The Invisible Dr. Mabuse: A beautiful dancer is terrorized by an invisible man, and FBI agent Joe Como (Lex Barker again!) is out to catch the killer of a fellow agent. At the heart of the mystery is "Operation X," an invention capable of giving unlimited power to its owner.
Archcriminal Dr. Mabuse kidnaps Liane and demands as ransom "Operation X," which will allow him to terrorize the world. Forced to give Mabuse his secret formula, Erasmus then sacrifices his life to save Joe.
