Charleston Blue was a prohibition era black gangster, dead 4 decades. When he seems to have reappeared, once again slitting throats with his Blue straight edge razors, the two cops begin a complicated search for some answers. Sequel to Cotton Comes to Harlem.
Charleston Blue set out one morning in 1932 to do away with a gangster named Dutch Schultz. He planned to cut the Dutchman's throat with one of the elegant razors that were his trademark: blue steel, ivory handle made to order in Charleston.
After the police report two more deaths using the signature blade and Her Majesty discovers Charleston's coffin empty, rumors spread throughout Harlem that Charleston's ghost has returned and is responsible for the disappearance of heroin in Harlem.
Come Back, Charleston Blue. Harlem police detectives Coffin (Raymond St. Jacques) and Gravedigger (Godfrey Cambridge) investigate a drug war blamed on a gangster's ghost.
