Beautiful young Anita (Loretta Young) is engaged to the prosperous Don Barnes (Broderick Crawford) and headed on a path toward a comfortable life. Things suddenly change, however, when she encounters the Great Arturo (David Niven), a dashing stage magician, and falls head over heels for him.
