A movie pilot sequel to the "Dobie Gillis" series which ran on CBS from 1959-1963. The film focuses on the original characters 20 years later, with Dobie now wed to Zelda, his high school sweetheart, and introduces the new character of Georgie, the Gillis' 17-year-old son.
Suddenly, key industries in the town shut down, putting hundreds out of work and severely threatening the local economy. Dobie, as head of the town council, is looked upon to lead the town out of this desperate crisis.
