An unlikely night of successful casino gambling on the Italian Riviera leaves him wealthy but in a quandary. If he returns to England with the cash, most of it will go to British taxes.
Stanley Thrumm is a mild-mannered Englishman who works as a tour guide for a second-rate travel agency. While conducting a bus trip through the Italian Riviera, he enters a gambling casino to look for one of his drunken American passengers.
