When Tulasi's mother, who is a prostitute, tries to force her to spend a night with a rich man, Tulasi runs away and boards a train. When Shastri watches her in the train, he takes her under his wing but soon her mother gets hold of her and takes her away and allows the rich man to spend a night with Tulasi.
