Skeleton of Mrs. Morales (Spanish: El Esqueleto de la señora Morales) is a 1960 Mexican black comedy film based on Arthur Machen ’s 1927 short story "The Islington Mystery". It is regarded by critics as one of the hundred best Mexican films of all time.
For twenty years, Pablo Morales, a merry taxidermist, has been psychologically tortured by his nasty and puritanical wife, Gloria. One day, Pablo tells his friends that Gloria is visiting an aunt in Guadalajara. But in his laboratory, Pablo keeps a skeleton that he treats as if it were his wife…
