Like Torture Garden and The House That Dripped Blood, Asylum was scripted by legendary horror author Robert Bloch (Psycho), adapting four of his short stories. Directed by Hammer veteran Roy Ward Baker, the film isn't very frightening, but it's an agreeable confection with some memorable moments and good performances by several genre favorites.
