In a Texas town, Callahan quarrels over a bottle of champagne with Col. David Mountford, a one-armed former Confederate officer, and kills him while Mountford's bride, Alexandra, watches helplessly from a hotel window. Vowing to avenge her husband's death, Alexandra offers a reward of $1,000 to anyone who kills Callahan.
Overview. A man tricked into enlisting in the Confederate army is later thrown into a hellish stockade on desertion charges. He eventually breaks out of the prison camp, reunites with his old partner and sets out to kill the man who was responsible for his being in the camp in the first place.
