Creepers are the only mobs in-game that explode themselves and everything around them. Unlike zombies or skeletons that can survive in the sun, but tend to be in poorly lit areas. Creepers provide some useful materials when killed by players or certain Hostile Mobs. If a creeper is struck by lightning, it’ll become a Charged Creeper. You’ll know when a creeper becomes a Charged Creeper based on its appearance, they’ll have a glow of electricity around them.
Listed below is how much damage a normal and a Charged Creeper will do, based on the difficulty you're playing on.
Normal Creeper
•Easy: 22.5 Hearts
•Normal: 43 Hearts
•Hard: 64.5 Hearts
Creepers can be found in every biome in the Overworld. If you’re playing on Bedrock, creepers will spawn one at a time. But if you’re playing on Java, they can spawn in groups of four.
Defeating a creeper can be a bit of a tricky process. The first way is by hitting them and running away before they explode. Which is effective, but at the same time dangerous. Or you can shoot them with arrows safely from a distance. Listed below are all the recommended items needed to defeat a creeper safely.
•Iron Sword
•Shield
•Full set of Iron Armor
•Bow and Arrows
It’s important to have at least iron armor when fighting them. Because if you have anything less than iron, it’ll do you no good. The shield is another important tool to have because you never know when one is about to sneak up on you, and it’s a great way to protect yourself.
•You’ll know a creeper is about to explode because you’ll hear a fuse sound
•Creepers will also begin to expand until it blows up.
•To stop a creeper from exploding, all you need to do is create some space from you and the creeper.
•Creepers don’t make any sound when walking.
•Creepers can climb up ladders and vines.
•If a Creeper is attacked by any mob, it’ll chase down the mob and explode next to it.
Creepers drop five XP orbs when killed by a player or a tamed wolf. Listed below are all the items creepers are known to drop upon death.

•Music Disc (If killed by a Skeleton or a Stray)
