  1. A very underrated film, with impressive visuals that still hold up well (except for the dinosaur), great acting from it's cast, inspired writing, and when watched on a good surround set up, a great audio mix to boot. It means no harm, and is fun. 4/10. My Science Project: Underwhelming comedy sci-fi.

  5. Parents need to know that My Science Project is a 1985 fantasy that invokes the spirit of the 1984 hit Ghostbusters, this time focusing on the release of uncontrollable alien energies rather than evil paranormal ones. There are plenty of scary effects and violence; younger kids may find it too intense.

  7. Mar 16, 2021 · Rating: 1 of 5. Company Kino Lorber. Expand. For some reason, 1985 was the year of teen comedies steeped in fanciful science-fiction themes. The most successful of these was Back to the Future, and right behind that was Real Genius (starring Val Kilmer) and Weird Science (Anthony Michael Hall).
