Broadway gossip columnist Tommy Tilton (Ralph Forbes) transforms himself into an amateur detective when the body of a nightclub singer is discovered in her dressing room. The police suspect that the singer's ex-lover, Ted Benson (Malcolm MacGregor), murdered her because she had been blackmailing him.
