Billy Wilder's career-long obsession with suicide finds its footings in this Siodmak-directed film that has just about the greatest premise ever; a man delegating his suicide to a burglar, who first has to make sure with the legal protection department of his crime institution if that is okay, before taking on the assignment.
Synopsis. A man in bad sorts hires a burglar to later kill him, then changes his mind when his fortunes turn and must find the contracted murderer before it is too late.
