The Guys is a play by Anne Nelson about the aftereffects of the collapse of the World Trade Center. A film version of the play was released in 2002 and starred Sigourney Weaver and Anthony LaPaglia.
United through tragedy, Nick and Joan discover a shared humanity as they craft poignant remembrances of “the guys”. The play is somewhat autobiographical; playwright Anne Nelson based the character Joan on herself and her own experiences as a foreign journalist in Central America.
