Kind Lady is a 1951 American film noir crime film directed by John Sturges and starring Ethel Barrymore, Maurice Evans, Keenan Wynn and Angela Lansbury. Produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, the film is remake of the 1935 film of the same name which starred Aline MacMahon in the title role.

John Sturges’ Kind Lady has a lot in common with Richard Thorpe’s Night Must Fall (1937): both produced by MGM, both based on a stage play first performed in 1935 (penned by Edward Chodorov and Emlyn Williams, respectively), and both presenting the tale of a charming male criminal who preys on a lonely, old woman in order to move into her home and acquire her wealth.
Even though she is getting on in years, she enjoys being around these priceless articles. One day she meets a strange young painter named Elcott, who uses his painting skill to enter into her life.
