Getting Gertie's Garter is a 1945 American slapstick comedy film written and directed by Allan Dwan, and starring Dennis O'Keefe, Marie McDonald, and Barry Sullivan. The film is based on the 1921 play of the same name by Wilson Collison and Avery Hopwood.
Getting Gertie's Garter (1945) was the third film version of a 1920s stage play by Wilson Collison and Avery Hopwood. The first, in 1927, had starred Marie Provost and Charles Ray, and a 1934 version had been produced in England.
