Lifemark is based on a true story of a young man meeting his birth mother, one that was chronicled on film in the documentary I Lived on Parker Street. Though there are moments of tension and uncertainty, Lifemark arguably gives us a story of reunion that arguably goes just about as well as it could have.

taylorwoods81 23 September 2022. The movie has good intentions but lacks any sense of believability. The films flimsy, "just hope and it will all work out" style of storytelling leaves plot holes and underwhelming conflict resolution. The characters are likeable, but forgettable.
Parents need to know that Lifemark is a faith-based story based on true events about adoption and the impact it has under ideal circumstances for everyone involved. A teenage pregnancy drives the plot. There's a direct message that abortion is murder and a negative, but not gory, depiction of a teen's….

On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 83% of six critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 7.8/10. Michael Foust of the Baptist Messenger praised Raphael Ruggero as "stellar" and opined that the "movie's first hour is as gripping as any Kendrick Brothers film ever."
