Roland (Albert Dupontel), a homeless man whose main hobby is sniffing glue, witnesses someone jumping from a Paris bridge into the waters of the Seine one night. The jumper leaves behind a suicide note and a police uniform, which Roland attempts to turn in, but he is rebuffed.
