Deadpool is a 2016 American superhero film directed by Tim Miller, in his directorial debut, and written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name and distributed by 20th Century Fox, it is a spin-off of the X-Men film series and its overall eighth installment.
With help from mutant allies Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand), Deadpool uses his new skills to hunt down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
