Overview. Mr. Dithers leaves Dagwood in charge of the office for a short period. Poor old Dagwood manages to gum things up when he falls for a confidence scam engineered by the duplicitous Toby Clifton.
The Blondie film series is an American comedy film series based on the comic strip of the same name, created by Chic Young. The series featured Penny Singleton as Blondie Bumstead and Arthur Lake as Dagwood Bumstead.
Dagwood and Toby are seen together by two neighbors, and by the time he reaches home, the gossip has spread to his wife Blondie, who is sure that Dagwood has done nothing wrong. The next morning, however, Blondie makes Dagwood an elaborate lunch so that he will have no excuse to go out.
