After a devastating betrayal at the hands of their mysterious employer, gold thieves Soapy Marx (Alastair Sim) and Ferdy Fane (Bernard Lee) are captured by the police. They rot in prison for a decade, and, upon their release, Marx and Fane struggle to track down the man who betrayed them and the massive cache of gold they stole for him.
