Summaries. A lawyer's wife starts an affair with a mobster but is confronted by his other flame who ends up murdered and the adulterous wife is set up to take the blame for the killing. Anne Parkson feels neglected by her lawyer-husband Ted, so she falls in love with night-club owner Tony Arnello, a shady character who is a client of her husband's.

Not all The Arnelo Affair works. Once Arnelo goes after Anne, one wonders why she doesn't confide in her husband or at least her chatty but intelligent pal Vivian (Eve Arden). Instead, her solution is to take sleeping pills and kill herself. Fortunately, Ted figures out what's going on and provides an ironclad alibi for Anne to the police.
