Identity Unknown is a 1945 American war film starring Richard Arlen and Cheryl Walker, and directed by Walter Colmes . Plot. Near the end of World War II in Europe a soldier who has recovered from his wounds but is still suffering from amnesia is heading back to the U.S..
At Rocks' party that night, Johnny meets Wanda, a kindly woman who recognizes that he is in love with someone else. At her urging, he calls Sally, who says she will wait for him to discover his identity and then come to him. He travels to the Iowa home of the last name on his list, Peter Anderson, but again Peter's parents do not know who he is.

Summaries. An amnesiac soldier, the only survivor of a group of four unidentified soldiers - victims of a bomb raid - visits each man's address with the hope of restoring his memory and identity. Recuperating from injuries sustained in battle, an American serviceman is aboard a military hospital ship en route back to the US.
An odd amnesia story: in France, a barn is bombed containing four American soldiers. Only one survives but without a memory. In order to reconnect with his earlier life and identity, he decides to visit the closest of kin to all these four casualties, hoping that he might be recognised somewhere.
