Under orders of Captain Charley Carter, head of the Texas Rangers, Tom Logan poses as outlaw Dan Bishop, in order to infiltrate a gang of robbers terrorizing Texas. He holds up a stagecoach and hides the money, then allows himself to be caught by the bandits, whose own robbery he foiled.
