Plot. Acting Lieutenant Horatio Hornblower captures the French ship Le Reve. On HMS Indefatigable, Captain Pellew orders Hornblower to sail his prize to Portsmouth with extremely important dispatches, and to destroy them if necessary to keep them out of enemy hands.
