The Mimic is a horror/thriller-mystery game created by MUCDICH, released on January 15th 2021. It tells the story of four peculiar entities who were sealed away by a notable samurai to forbid them from inducing more mayhem onto the world.

The Mimic is a survival horror Roblox game developed by MUCDICH. He developed it alone until a developer team was built around June 2021, which consists of CactusHasDied, JustYourKarma, Ampient, ciovz and Sythivo.
The Mimic's storylines develop in Books, which are divided into four chapters each. Each Book is centered around a certain theme and a beast that represents it and acts as the main protagonist, along with others. There also extra "Gamemodes" like The Witch Trials or Jigoku.
The story of the first book (Control) follows a former high school student named Yasu Masashige who goes back to his old high school in search of his missing group friends. However, he ends up going into the school's basement venturing into a strange twisted world where monsters of his ancestors try to catch him. It all ends up being a mimic of his reality created by an entity known as Sama, also referred to as "the witch" and the "Beast of Control". Yasu has to find a way to defeat her and escape.
The story of the second book (Jealousy) begins with the pathologist Isamu Uchiumi who goes to his office in the middle of a rainy night. Inside the office he opens a locked room that contains the corpse of Isamu's brother, Senzai, laying on a stretcher. As Isamu looks at his brother, he deeply mourns him and promises that he'd find out what really happened to Senzai in Aogashima, the last place he was seen alive. He decides to use a boat to head to said place but ends up being ambushed by a mysterious creature and dragged into a mysterious forgotten world.
The Witch Trials - The Prequel
The gamemode involves Keiko Masashige finding their way to get out of mazes and puzzles while avoiding entities and escaping the realm with, as the nickname implies, the Beast of Control. Some areas need spirits to open, some are keys and some of those butterflies (spirit and corrupt) will be burnt in the mode. In Nightmare Mode, you would respawn, but that needs a game pass to buy, you can only use it several times, but in Multiplayer, you can revive if another person survives and completes the part.
Control's Book - The First Book
Chapters usually involve Yasu Masashige finding their way to escape mazes while avoiding the antagonists. The majority of mazes involves collecting keys or the butterfly spirits to open doors or passageways to proceed to the next part and/or room of the chapter. There are also puzzles and riddles needed to solve throughout the majority of each chapter. After getting caught by one of the many monsters in the mazes, the player will get jumpscared and respawn at the start of the maze. Soon, Yasu will make Kintoru slain. You will not respawn in Nightmare Mode, unless you purchase the revive game pass, you can only revive several times, or in Multiplayer, you can revive if someone survives and completes the part (This includes several parts of the 4 ‘Control’ chapters).
Jealousy's Book - The Second Book
Chapters involve Isamu Uchiumi finding his way through different parts and places, all while avoiding the antagonists. Unlike Control's Book, though, there is a lack of mazes and the gameplay is more focused on exploring to escape the area. It can include collecting keys, lighting up candles, collecting orbs and so on. There are also different puzzles and riddles you have to solve in order to continue onto the next area. After getting caught by a monster, you'll get jumpscared and restart at the start of the area (though in some cases, you will only get knocked out and will have to be revived by another player unless you're playing solo or are fully dead). You will not respawn in Nightmare Mode, unless you purchase the revive game pass, you can only revive several times or in Multiplayer mode, you can revive if someone survives and completes the part (This includes for all parts, including chases).
