May 16, 2024 · USS Christmas (2020) Hallmark TV Film Review. Writing stories with scandal is not what Maddie Contino (Jen Lilley) wants to be doing. But at the paper where she works, these are the stories she’s assigned. When her sister, a proud Navy pilot asks her to join the Christmas tiger cruise, Maddie says no and then, reluctantly, agrees.
'USS Christmas' isn't anything extraordinary, but it produces what it intended to - a cutesy Xmas story. It's well set up, with the naval surroundings adding a touch of freshness to the usual festive film formula. Jen Lilley and Trevor Donovan have satisfactory chemistry, with the likes of Brett Rice and Keith Flippen support adequately.
