At Camp Tamakwa in 1972, a group of kids hike with camp owner Uncle "Unca" Lou Handler (Alan Arkin), and come upon a moose in the forest. Twenty years later in September 1992, the former campers prepare to return to Tamakwa for a fall reunion after the regular summer season.
