      • In "From Noon to Three," it's as if a capacity for humor and gentleness has been released. The movie's problems are in the framework around the long central passages. Gilroy adds a layer of irony and legend that isn't really necessary - we'd rather see more of the widow and the desperado.

  6. Aug 5, 2019 · Reviewed by Dennis Schwartz. One of the most unappealing offbeat romantic/comedy Westerns ever. It’s adapted by Frank D. Gilroy (“The Gig”/”Desperate Characters”) from his own novel, whose heavy-handed direction makes mincemeat of a reasonably good and novel idea. Because the film is shapeless, Charles Bronson is forced to act.

  7. Review by Roberts Kulenko ★★★★ Wow, I expected it to be some sort of romantic comedy western, but it turned out to be a very weird offbeat but cynical satire that shares some similarities with westerns that deal with "legends vs reality" theme.
