  1. May 10, 2013 · The title, Upperworld, is a play on the common idea of the ‘underworld’. It sounds goofy, but you quickly see how it plays into the film at large. While the crime film output of the 1930’s focused on the gangsters and the thugs, as we all know, the people with all of the money make the rules.
