The Monster of Nix plot. The blond boy Willy goes in search of his grandmother, who has been kidnapped, or eaten, by a monster. His quest leads to a fading fairytale forest, populated by tree-like 'Langemanne', a headless tree hugger, a rolling naked giant and a frightened forester.
