  5. Jun 1, 2024 · Star Trek III: The Search for Spock left an ache in the hearts of Star Trek fans -- with good reason. Until the reboot entries, it was the most cynical Star Trek movie. The film was was the first time Starfleet was painted as an antagonist to the heroes.
