The Buckinghams formed in Chicago in 1965 when Carl Giammarese and Nick Fortuna of The Centuries joined up with Jon Jon Poulos and Dennis Tufano of The Pulsations. After adding keyboard player Dennis Miccoli, the group won a Battle Of The Bands for a Chicago TV show called and became regulars on the show for fourteen weeks.
