Siobhan Maire Fahey (/ ʃ ə ˈ v ɔː n ˈ f ɑː h i /; born 10 September 1958) is an Irish singer whose vocal range is a light contralto. [2] She was a founding member of the British girl group Bananarama, who have had ten top-10 hits including the US number one hit single "Venus".

Shakespears Sister were an alternative [1] pop and rock musical duo that was formed in 1988 by Irish singer-songwriter Siobhan Fahey, a former member of Bananarama. Shakespears Sister was initially a solo act but became a duo by 1989, with the addition of American musician Marcella Detroit.
Bananarama formed in September 1980 when teenagers and childhood friends Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward moved from Bristol to London and met Siobhan Fahey. Dallin and Fahey were studying journalism at the London College of Fashion (University of Arts) and Woodward was working at the BBC in Portland Place.
