The Dickies are an American punk rock band formed in the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, in 1977. One of the longest tenured punk rock bands, they have been in continuous existence for over 40 years. They have consistently balanced catchy melodies, harmony vocals, [1] [2] and pop song structures, with a speedy punk guitar attack.
Stukas Over Disneyland is the third studio album by punk rock band The Dickies, released in 1983. [3] [4] [5] The album includes covers of The Quick 's "Pretty Please Me" and Led Zeppelin 's " Communication Breakdown ." The cover art illustrates the album's title by showing a Stuka dive bomber over the head of Mickey Mouse .

After a four year absence - presumably due to the unfortunate 1981 suicide of founding Dickies member Chuck Wagon - the classic L.A. purveyors of zany pop-punk return with Stukas Over Disneyland, showing the new kids how masterful, well-crafted songwriting and performances are done, despite being part of the "old guard."
Stunned, the rest of The Dickies went on hiatus during which much of the original lineup drifted out of the group. Late that year, Phillips and Lee returned with a new version of the group, which included guitarist Steve Hufstetter (soon replaced by Scott Sindon), bassist Lorenzo “Laurie” Buhne, and drummer Jerry Angel.
