The drum is one of the first instruments to be found in recorded history, but the modern drum set in actuality is only a little over a hundred years old. It is fascinating to me to explore the history of the modern drum set. I’m an artist and incredibly passionate about this art form.

Derek's goal is to be the most versatile and technically proficient drummer he can be, and to that end, he holds himself to the highest possible standards. Derek has been the official drummer for Ministry since Fall 2017 and is currently on the 2018 North American and European tours.
