Alan (aka “Al”) Jardine, guitarist, vocalist and songwriter, is best known for being one of the founding members of the California-based group The Beach Boys. Al was born in Lima, Ohio, on September 3, 1942 and met Brian, Carl and Dennis Wilson, Mike Love and David Marks after his family moved to Hawthorne, California.
From 1963 to 1998, Beach Boys founding member Al Jardine served as the band’s rhythm guitarist, sang lead vocals on tracks like “Cotton Fields”, “Then I Kissed Her”, and “Help Me, Rhonda”, and was an integral voice in the creation of the band’s most famous albums like Little Deuce Coupe, All Summer Long, and Pet Sounds.
