The West End Historic District of Dallas, Texas, is a historic district that includes a 67.5-acre (27.3 ha) area in northwest downtown, generally north of Commerce, east of I-35E, west of Lamar and south of the Woodall Rodgers Freeway.
Top ways to experience West End Historic District. The West End Historic District is a 15-minute walk from my hotel. It has some good attractions like the Dealy Plaza, Sixth Floor Museum, and the JFK Memorial Plaza. I did not dine in the area, nor spend time here at night.

Originally established as the city's first factory and warehouse district in the 1920s, the West End District eventually became one of Dallas' top tourist attractions during the 1980s and 1990s with the introduction of the Starck Club, Planet Hollywood, Cinema 10 and the West End Marketplace.
