Francis Xavier Suarez (/ s w ɑː ˈ r ɛ z / SWAH-rez; born October 6, 1977) is an American lawyer and politician who is the 43rd and current mayor of Miami since November 2017. The son of former Miami mayor Xavier Suarez , he previously served on the Miami City Commission from 2009 to 2017.
