Walensky received her MD degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and earned her MPH from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She was a Harvard Medical School Professor of Medicine from 2012 to 2020 and the Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital from 2017 to 2020.
