Abaz Kupi (6 August 1892 – 17 January 1976) or Abas Kupi. He was also known as Bazi i Canës. He was an Albanian military officer. Kupi was born in Krujë. He served as commander of the gendarmerie of the town of Kruja, and later of the town of Durrës.

An attempt to unite those groups in one organization was undertaken by Major Abaz Kupi, by now a democratic politician, who created an underground organisation called the Unity Front. This front, which increased in numbers within several months, was crushed in April 1941 after the defeat of Yugoslavia and Greece .

On January 9, 1976, Abaz Kupi (1892-1976) passed away. In 1912, he supported Esat Pasha Toptani, and later in 1920, he aligned himself with Mustafa Kruja against Ahmet Zogu. Despite their initial differences, following Zogu's rise to power, Kupi assumed the role of commander in Kruja.
