Iain Armitage (/ ˈ iː ən /; born July 15, 2008) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Sheldon Cooper in Young Sheldon, a spin-off prequel to The Big Bang Theory, from 2017 to 2024. Another childhood role was Ziggy Chapman in two seasons of the series Big Little Lies from 2017 to 2019.
