    Cyrus Yavneh (October 14, 1942 – January 25, 2018; age 75) was a producer on 24 during seasons 1 and 2.

    Cyrus Yavneh was born in New York to a Belarusian Jewish father and an Israeli mother. Both his parents emigrated to the US during World War I, and met in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. Yavneh studied in public schools, Music and Art High School, and the City College of New York. After that, he spent his early 20s doing a wide variety of odd jobs, from showroom stage manager to chief cook.

    When he was 25, Yavneh decided to find a stable, full-time job. He was hired as assistant production manager at the New York office of Rose-Magwood, an international TV commercial production company. A year and a half later, he was hired as producer/production manager for Len Steckler TV commercial company. After joining the Directors Guild of America in 1970, Yavneh decided to work as a freelance producer. He moved to Hollywood and started working on feature films and TV series.

    During his career, Yavneh has worked on TV shows like Supernatural, Nothing Sacred, Hit the Floor, and Falling Skies. He has also worked on films like In The Army Now and Town & Country. Yavneh also wrote and directed a documentary titled These Here Are My Feet, released in 1984.

    Yavneh passed away on January 25, 2018 after battling cancer.
