Alan A. Armer (7 July 1922 – 5 December 2010) was an American television producer, best known for his Emmy-award winning tenure as the producer of The Fugitive. He also produced The Invaders, The Untouchables and the first year of Cannon.
Dec 9, 2010 · Armer also produced the 1968-71 western series “Lancer” and was a producer of the 1973-74 adventure series “The Magician,” as well as TV movies such as “Birds of Prey,” starring Janssen.
Dec 5, 2010 · The show aired on ABC from 1963-67 and starred David Janssen as a doctor on the run to avoid prosecution for a murder he did not commit. Armer won his Emmy when the series was named best drama in 1966. Armer also produced three other Quinn Martin series of the era: The Invaders, Lancer and Cannon.
Armer, a producer on series including The Fugitive, The Untouchables, Lancer and Cannon, died December 5 of colon cancer in his Century City home. He was 88.
