Edgemont Park is known for its World War I memorial, which is one of the landmarks of Montclair. The main memorial, created in 1924 by Charles Keck, is a tall obelisk with bronze sculptures of Winged Victory on top and the Billy Boys on the bottom.
Edgemont is a small, sweet park with a beautiful pond that attracts geese and various local birds... also the occasional turtle! Great place to sit on a bench and ponder life, or do a nice walk for exercise.

May 31, 2021 · It is officially known today as Edgemont Memorial Park. $100,000 was raised, and on Memorial Day 1925 the cornerstone for the monument was placed on the island. Charles Keck was chosen to be the sculptor. The monument was finally complete by Armistice Day, Nov. 11, 1925, seven years after World War I ended.
