Lake Casa Blanca International State Park is a 525-acre state park located in Laredo, Texas, United States a few miles east of the border with Mexico. [2] The park was originally managed by Webb County and the City of Laredo.
Lake Casa Blanca is a reservoir on the Chacon Creek, 5 miles (8 km) northeast of downtown Laredo, Texas, United States. The reservoir was formed in 1951 by the construction of a dam to provide recreational opportunities for the residents of Webb County.
The fishing at Lake Casa Blanca is very good at times. Largemouth bass fishing is good with fish up to 8 pounds common. There are many blue and channel catfish in the 2 to 4 pound range, plus a few much larger. Many large crappie provide hours of fishing pleasure.
DAY USE FEE: $4 per day, per person 13 and older. $5 per day, per person 13 and older on Easter Sunday. OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION: Gate is open from 7am to 10pm. If you will be a late arrival, you must call the park prior to 5pm on arrival date for late arrival instructions.
Visitors will be provided directions how to access camping areas and the boat ramp area through the Highway 59 gates (Henry Cuellar Road). Also, the same areas are experiencing low water pressure due to a ruptured city water line that is being repaired in the city.
Lake Casa Blanca International State Park is on the east side of Laredo and surrounds a quarter of the 1680 acre Lake Casa Blanca. A lot of the day use picnic tables are on the edge of the lake, several of the campsites back up to the lake, and lots of the campsites have views of the lake.
